St. Paul's Boys National School

Welcome from Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians and Visitors,

Welcome! My name is Suzanne Griffin and I am the principal of St. Paul’s B.N.S. I would like to say a big thank you for the warm welcome that I have had from the boys and parents of St. Paul’s and the wider community here in Lisduggan.

I feel very lucky to be working in this impressive, hardworking, friendly and caring school. It has been a busy and exciting year for me; learning the ropes and getting to know everybody.

The parents’ contribution is invaluable; they are always ready to lend a helping hand and support the work of the school. I am also inspired by the professionalism of the staff, as they show commitment to providing a high standard of education to the boys of this parish. I can really feel a strong community spirit here.

Many of our teachers and SNAs run after-school clubs on a voluntary basis; homework, hurling, gaelic, basketball, athletics and drama. We also have an art club, two choirs, recorder lessons and two guitar groups. The extra-curricular life of the school is a great indicator of how dynamic and committed the staff are.

If you are intending to enroll your child in St. Paul’s B.N.S., I welcome you to our site. I hope that your child's time in school will be very happy and that by working together we can achieve your child's full potential.

This site has been developed, so that you can get to know the school, that is working for your son in the most formative years of his life. The site is regularly updated and we would ask you to return often. A website can never take the place of personal contact; I would like to stress that you are always welcome to arrange to meet your son's teacher. The education of every child is the joint responsibility of home and school. One cannot succeed without the help and support of the other.

We look forward to working with you and your child and trust in your co-operation and support in the years ahead.

Now Enrolling for Junior Infants

We are now enrolling new Junior Infants for September. Please contact the office to find out more about our Open Day.

Thank you to the Parents' Association

"A big thank you to our Parents' Association" from all the boys and staff for their support to us over the last year. We have been able to get a number of projects off the ground as a result of their contribution. With the proceeds of their fundraising projects, we now have a brand new stage; guitars, keyboards and recorders for our music lessons. They also funded the design of this website which was designed by a past pupil of ours, William Hayes.
